Rhythm of Life
Current mood: jubilant
Category: Writing and Poetry

Stars… the dazzling effervescence of the moon. They scatter themselves across the ocean of the night into the abyss. Then... They’re only left to fall just to grant someone’s wish made upon their last flight into nothingness. The earth beats with the drum. It dances and dances and then flows to the oceans and great pools of tears. The sky pulses, and shakes the horizon. It beats into everyone. It pounds through my thoughts. It keeps my heart beating. The colors shine into the night. They fly in waves of amber and gold… and let the wind carry them to leave the trees as bare as skeletons. The hearth of their fire fills the air with the smell of autumn. Crisp light laces through the bare bones… The trees writhe and reach into the sky with sharp protruding fingers. They claw at the sky for life, only to leave it as a bleeding sunset. It falls… and the black curtains sweep over. The symphony of the night begins.. The stars sing a song… it’s in harmony with the drums of the earth. We play and play until the sky can’t sing any louder… and its veins are run dry. And then we play till the stars and the pulsing beat bring the sky back to life. We play till the skeletons of the trees grow new flesh… and they stop clawing at the sky with their sharp fingers…, till sunset comes on its own. The night rests in peace, with our tired hands that beat the life into the world we live in. We then, can rest in harmony with the moon that in turn guides our way through the night.
